A Fire Engine Themed Room

If you're looking for a fun theme for a child's room that isn't based on a cartoon character or latest fad - consider a fire engine theme.

If you're little one has outgrown his crib yet he isn't ready for a big boy bed, consider a toddler-sized bed. There is a perfect one that looks just like a fire engine and holds a crib mattress perfectly. Other additions you can make to the room include a clothing pole to hold shirts and jackets that looks like part of the fire engine theme. You can also add in a fire engine themed night stand and even a step stool that will come in very handy as he learns to be more independent with things like brushing his teeth and even using the bathroom on his own.

Fabrics with fire engines are not hard to come by and if you have the most basic of sewing skills you can make your own curtains to fit into the room. If you want to opt for solid colors for the windows, just choose a couple of the colors in the other items such as red and yellow and you can base your window treatments on that. Adding a fire engine toy box or a fire engine themed rocking chair.

One favorite item in your little one's room will be a fire engine desk. All kids like a place of their own where they can draw, read and be creative. This desk will serve all those purposes and more as it has plenty of storage space.

Having a theme in your child's room is simple, just take one small item and build outwards from it and soon you will have decorated an entire room!
