Make Soy Candles With Your Kids

It seems that you always have to come up with something new at kids parties to keep their attention these days. With all of the distractions out there in today's world it is hard to get them to sit still.

One great kid party or holiday party idea that will keep everyone's attention and give them a sense of accomplishment at the same time is a soy candle party. Not only are soy candles better for the environment than paraffin candles they also melt at a lower temperature than paraffin candles. This is important when having a party with children because there is much less chance of a child being burned while making them.
In fact they burn at such a low temperature you can even put your fingers into the melted wax. What a blast for kids since they are always told not to put their fingers into hot wax for fear of being burned.

Making soy candles is a great project for kids around the holidays because it gives you the opportunity to spend time with your kids having fun and at the same time creating a candle that they can then give as a gift to someone that they love or care about. Your kids can even create their very own label to put on the candle.

There are different size soy candle making kits that you can purchase depending on how big of an event that you are going to make your candle making party. If you are only going to be doing it with your own children you may want a small kit. If you are going to have a big party with a lot of kids you will want to buy a large soy candle making kit.

You could even get a scrapbooking kit for kids at the same time that you get the candle making kit and take pictures of the candle making party to put into a scrapbook that will forever encapsulate the memory of the party.
