How do you get your child to eat vegetables? This is the age-old question that never seems to have an answer. It is quite common to see a plate in front of your child with a pile of vegetables still on it when dinner is finished. There is no need to worry. You are not alone. Each child has a different personality in regards to the vegetables they enjoy to eat.

Studies have suggested that children’s vegetable intake can be largely shaped by what vegetables you eat. Parents are an enormous influence on children. If your child sees you shying away from a specific vegetable, there is a good chance they will do the same. It is important to start at a young age. Give your child a vast quantity of vegetables to see what they enjoy. Once you do this you will have a better idea of what areas to work on in regards to your child’s vegetable experience.

A great way to get your child to eat vegetables is to mix veggies with other foods they enjoy. Pasta sauces, casseroles, soups or omelets are good ways to mask the taste of an icky vegetable. A fun idea to get your child to enjoy the vegetable experience is to start a small vegetable garden with them. This will allow your child to watch the entire growing process and reap the benefits of their hard work.
