Did You Pull Up Your Carpet Because….

When we moved about four years ago the house we bought had carpeting in most of the rooms including the bathrooms. Our first order of business was to pull out the carpeting and install wood flooring to give the house a fresh look inside. When the flooring guy pulled up the carpeting he said, “do you realize you have hardwood floors under this stuff?” That was news to us and of course we asked if it could be refinished instead of having to install new flooring. For the most part only minor repairs were needed and after a little replacement, sanding and a new coat of polyurethane we had changed the look of the house (we painted as well).

There are pros and cons of wood flooring versus carpeting but we wanted a more rustic look. As a family we all have allergies of one kind of another and wood floors are easier to clean and maintain than carpet (in our opinion). Although we love our wood floors, we also like a splash of color and some protection for parts of the floor. There are tons of rug choices, some very expensive and others that are on the budget side.

At SensoryEdge, we’ve sold classroom quality rugs for about five years and teachers simply can’t get over the awesome quality. But classroom rugs don’t match typical homes decor except for playrooms and young kids bedrooms. Last year at the ABC Kids Expo we found Fun Rugs, they’re a company that sells a great selection of kids area rugs at incredibly affordable prices. When I went into their booth I was expecting the rugs to be of inferior quality but when I checked them out I was blown away at the quality for prices ratio. We struck a deal with the manufacturer and you can see for yourself the great selection and really low prices plus we’re offering free shipping on all Fun Rugs anywhere in the contiguous United States.

We’ll be the first to admit that Fun Rugs are not going to last forever. But as your children get older and their tastes change, you won’t mind donating or rolling up the carpet to use in your garage because you got a rug that did what it needed at a great price. If you want a rug to last a long time, you’re going to have to spend more money. The fact is better rugs are made with better materials and more labor. People pay thousands of dollars for Persian or Oriental Rugs but you don’t have to if you need a stop gap measure and a Kids Area Rug from Fun Rugs fits the bill.
