There are certain kid’s games that have lasted decades. Remember Duck-Duck-Goose? This popular children’s game has had many different forms over the years, but the basic form is still the same. With the warm weather approaching, you might be looking for fun outdoor activities for your kids. No matter if you are at home or work with young children, this game is perfect for a wonderful time outdoors. In case you have forgotten, the rules are listed below. Enjoy and have a fabulous time.
In this children’s game, children sit in a circle facing each other. One person is classified as “it” and walks around the circle. As they walk around the circle they pat the heads of those seated and say “duck” or “goose.” Once someone is the “goose” they get up and chase the other person around the circle. The goal is to tap that person before they are able to sit in the “goose’s” spot.
If the “goose” is not able to do this, they become “it” for the next round and play continues. If they do tap the “it” person, the person tagged has to sit in the center of the circle. Then the “goose” becomes “it” for the next round. The person in the middle can’t leave until another person is tagged. This is when they are replaced in the circle.
