Classroom Rugs

Nearly 20 years. Hundreds of designs. SensoryEdge exclusive classroom rug made on the same production floor, to the same commercial-grade standard. Here is the story behind the rugs on your classroom floor.

If you’ve ever watched your classroom rug budget disappear before you’ve found the rug you actually want, factory seconds are worth understanding. The short version: these are commercial-grade classroom rugs from the same manufacturers that supply the rest of our catalog, sold at a discount because they didn’t pass the manufacturer’s quality inspection for first-quality sale. The imperfection is always cosmetic. The rug is otherwise identical to its full-price counterpart in every way that matters inside a classroom.

A new rug that develops wrinkles or bunching after a few months of use isn’t defective. In most cases, one of four preventable causes is responsible. Here’s how to identify which one and fix it.

A classroom rug is more than a place to sit for circle time. In the right hands — and with the right games — it becomes a racetrack, a game show floor, a lava field, an alphabet course, and a volleyball court all before lunch.

If you’re looking to transform your classroom into a space that feels organized, welcoming, and beautifully put together, the newest SensoryEdge seating rugs are ready to make your year brighter.

Classroom rugs do far more than define circle time or provide a cozy reading spot. In today’s schools, they are expected to meet rigorous safety standards designed to protect children from fire risks, chemical exposure, and everyday classroom wear and tear

The classroom rug has evolved far beyond simple story time seating. SensoryEdge’s innovative dot grid designs are revolutionizing how educators approach interactive learning, combining the organizational benefits of grid layouts

If you’re setting up a preschool or kindergarten classroom, you’ve probably asked yourself:

“What’s the best rug for circle time?”
or
“How do I make my classroom feel calm and organized?”
